What's Your Name? —Give Me Your Credit Card Number. As you traverse the website, you may be asked for certain information about yourself. Some of this information may be "personal information" such as your name or your wedding date. Some may be "critical information", such as your home address or credit card data. Information may be conveyed through submission of an information form on the website, by telephone, or by email. All information you volunteer is accepted for some internal purpose like filling and shipping your order or accepting your payment. FitForaBride does not sell, give away, or share in any way, any of your information with any other person or company. When it's intended use has been fulfilled it is safely destroyed.

Javascript and Cookies —Should I disable them? On the website, a scripting language called Javascript provides enhanced viewing of images and support documents along with other convienience and aesthetic features. Efforts are taken to make the website navigable even if you have disabled Javascript, but many of these features will be lost without Javascript. The Shopping Bag and secure payment systems will not function without Javascript and cookies. Be assured that, while both of these useful tools have been misused by some, Javascript is never used here to pop up unrequested advertising windows and cookies are not placed on your computer as "advertising tools." Here, both are used exclusively to enhance your visit. They are employed here solely to make your stay as pleasant and productive as possible.

Cookies (small text files placed on your computer's hard drive by your browser) are used in the Shopping Bag system to keep track of your order as you move between pages. These cookies normally have a lifetime of four hours so, in case of a brief interruption, you will not loose your shopping selections. They, however, can be kept alive for up to a year if you elected to "hold" your shopping bag. Because cookies can be read by anyone with access to your computer, no personal information is stored in them except the name you used to personalize your shopping bag.

Is My Data "Secure"? After selecting your shopping items, you will be given opportunity to make payment via credit card. As you probably know, no "secure" computer system is absolutely secure, but FitForaBride's credit card handling system has been designed, from start to finish, with the safe transport of all your critical information of foremost importance. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology assures no data will be seen by others as you submit it through your browser. Once on our server, it is handled and conveyed to FitForaBride's office by carefully written program scripts. Once in the office, it is stored until the current transaction is completed and then safely disposed of. Your credit card information is not held over. You must resubmit your information for each separate transaction.

External Web Sites. We may at times direct you to a remote website, for instance, to view additional products or to gain further information. We have no control over the policies of these other websites. However, we will never knowingly send you to a place where your personal information may be misused in any way.
