ALTERATION QUESTIONS
Q: On what days and times do you take appointments?
A: During normal business hours. (Monday - Saturday 10AM to 4PM)
Note: Hours will be extended during Spring and Summer months.
Q: Can I get an alteration cost quote without coming or making an apptointment?
A: I can not give an exact cost with out seeing the garment, but you are welcome to email me a picture, stating what you think may need to be done.
Q: Where are you located?
A: 3355 West Spring Mountain Road. Suite 5. Las Vegas, NV 89102
Q: Will my garment be steamed after alterations and will there be an additional charge for steaming it?
A: Yes and yes. The fee for steaming or pressing your altered garment will be one half the normal steaming charges. You can check the normal steaming costs in the “Read More” section of the Steaming Page and divide them by 2. If you would like your entire Bridal partys' items steamed, make a note of this in the Comments area as you fill out your Steaming Reservation form. In this case, further discounts may apply.
Q: Do you have bra cups to sew into my garment?
A: Yes... One of the best types and brands!
Q: Do I need to purchase all my undergarments prior to my fitting?
A: If you know exactly what you want and need, this would be preferable. If not, come without them and I can guide you with the best choices for your gown and body.
Q: Do I need the exact same shoes for my fitting that I will be wearing for the ceremony?
A: If you don't have your shoes yet, you can use any pair
of the correct heel height to obtain your hem length. However, since your heel height is critical to your hem length measurment, you will need shoes of the same heel height as the ones you plan to wear for the wedding.
Note: For the above reason, it is best to wear
the very same shoes, for your fitting, that
you will will be wearing for your ceremony. If you substitute shoes and the hem later needs to taken up more, there will be an additional charge. If, when once shortened, we find it needs to be longer... well, this obviously could be hazardous to your wedding day bliss!
Q: How can I determine the best slip style for my gown or if one is even needed?
A: I can help you with the best slip style choice during your first fitting.
Q: Do you have a variety of slip styles to purchase or rent?
A: Yes, I have several styles in stock and, if needed, I can get any style you might need —to rent or buy.
Q: What is required for me to rent a slip from you?
A: You will need to pay the rental cost plus a deposit upon picking up your rental slip. When you return the slip in good condition, your deposit will be returned. If you paid in cash, your deposit will be returned in cash. If you paid by credit card, the deposit will be refunded back to your credit card account.
Q: How long is the rental period on a rental slip?
A: Usually two days before the wedding date and three days afterward.
Note: Other rental period arrangements can be made if neccessary.
Q: Can I rent a slip even without having alterations done by you?
